Overview and Solution

Harambe was appointed by Transnet Freight Rail to deliver an IP CCTV Camera system, construct and commission a control room infrastructure for four of their priority sites as part of phase 1 of the project in line with the stipulations of the contract.
As part of the deliverables Harambe and Transnet sign-off on the installation, integration and commissioning of the camera infrastructure comprising of:

• Camera Bullet
• Camera Indoor
• Camera PTZ
• Camera Panoramic
• Old – Camera PTZ
• Old – Camera Bullet
• Pole – 9 Meter
• Pole – 6 Meter
• CCTV Control Room Equipment
• Boom Gates
As part of the requirement, remote monitoring for cameras from City Deep, Kazcon, Karzene and Germiston were to be done from the newly contracted control room. Harambe technologies implemented this project successfully where we had to overcome the challenges that came with point to multi point fiber infrastructure and a separated network to handle high resolution bandwidth requirement, Avigilon Is rated in the industry as one of the best securities surveillance systems for its capabilities and guarantees to secure any environment. A fully integrated Avigilon site consisting of their camera ranges to the back up.
